We’re partnering with NC Wildlife to remove trash and Hurricane Helene debris from a stretch of Grassy Creek in Spruce Pine. A tributary of the N. Toe River, Grassy Creek is planned for a new NCWRC public fishing access. The only thing holding them back is the unsightly and unsafe amount of trash. Bring gloves, a utility knife, maybe a pair of waders too and we’ll have plenty of trash bags for you to fill up. Confidence is high that we can find a watering hole with food for when the work is done.
