Pre - MPA Meeting Pint Night: Southern Coast

Your Access to Recreational Fishing in California is at Stake. CA BHA Is Pushing Back. 

Over the past several years, the California Fish and Game Commission has been reviewing a wave of petitions that seek to expand the state’s Marine Protected Area (MPA) network. The Department of Fish and Wildlife’s own scientists have now weighed in on the majority of the petitions, recommending the denial of essentially all of the petitions they’ve evaluated. California BHA stands firmly behind that recommendation and needs you to raiase your voice in support for California's fishing heritage.  

The Commission is holding three regional public comment meetings before any formal votes take place, and the Southern Coast Bio-Regional meeting is May 19th. Prior to that meeting, BHA is teaming up with CCA, North Country Depth  Finders, and AWPAC to host a pint night in which we will discuss the petitions, workshop talking points, and prepare our community to show up and give testimony during the commission meetings. We will be meeting on 5/14 at the Pour House in Oceanside at 7pm.
