Interested in boots on the ground stewardship work that directly impacts wildlife? Idaho BHA has you covered, we are looking to map fence lines. This effort will directly influence migrating big game animals and open more habitat connectivity. Join us June 13th, near Picabo Idaho.

What is fence inventory? We are asking volunteers to go out and hike fence lines above Picabo. In partnership with the Bureau of Land Management Idaho, BHA is working towards mapping the condition of fences. This information is vital for the BLM to make management decisions on removing or modifying fences in the area. This affects local migrating wildlife like Mule Deer and Elk. If you are into hiking with a cause this is your chance. Get a group together or come out solo and get some miles in!
The event will run from 9am to 4pm but may finish before then depending on the workload. We will meet at 9am at the location linked below in Picabo Idaho. After a brief safety meeting and going over the data collection procedure we will break up into groups to map the fences.

What to Bring: Plenty of water, work gloves, long sleeve shirt, pants, ancle high boots, sunglasses, and a pack.
What BHA will provide: Lunch, snacks, drinks and some free BHA swag. One Volunteer will also win a free pair of Bogs Boots, just for attending the event!
