The Vermont Backcountry Hunters &Anglers Team is excited to offer three turkey hunting seminars, Finesse Turkey Hunting: Methods, Materials and Strategies for Hunting Gobblers on Heavily Hunted Public and Small Private Lands, by Virginia author Bob Byrne. The focus will be on his innovative turkey hunting techniques that are especially effective with those toms that go silent after the 1st half of the season. He will cover his unique blind set up, DIY equipment and other techniques that fool older birds that have seen and heard it all. Bob has compiled this treasure trove of infomation in a book he wrote.
Bob is a long-time member of BHA, and a professional wildlife biologist, who has over his 40+-year career worked for three state wildlife agencies and two national conservation organizations. He currently is the president of Bob Byrne Consulting, a conservation consulting business specializing in finding innovative solutions to conservation issue.
Brett Ladeau with the National Wild Turkey Federation and master turkey caller will join us at the Montpelier event. He will share his favorite calls focusing on calling in hens and the big toms that tend to follow.
All seminars are free and open to all.
Bob will have copies of his book for sale and signing. If you can’t make a seminar, they are available on Amazon.
See you there! And good luck with the trout and turkey openers.
