AFI Fort Huachuca: Memorial Weekend Crawdad Clinic & Boil

Join the Fort Huachuca Armed Forces Initiative for a Memorial Weekend Crawdad Clinic & Boil along the San Pedro River in Southern Arizona. This hands-on, family-friendly event is designed to introduce participants to the basics of crawfishing while connecting the military and local community to outdoor recreation and conservation.

The morning will begin with an educational session covering crawfishing techniques and fundamentals, followed by hands-on demonstrations where participants will learn how to catch and prepare crawfish. The event wraps up with a free traditional Southern crawfish boil lunch, offering a great opportunity to enjoy good food and connect with fellow outdoorsmen and women.

Set in the scenic San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area, this event highlights one of the Southwest’s most important river systems and provides a unique opportunity to experience public lands while learning a new outdoor skill.
