Join Michigan Backcountry Hunters & Anglers for a Saturday night Pint Night focused on the future of native fish in the Boardman River watershed.

We have heard from members that they would like more weekend events, and it has been a while since we have hosted a gathering in Traverse City. This Pint Night is a chance to reconnect with the northern Michigan conservation community while learning about innovative fisheries work happening locally.

The evening will feature a presentation from the Great Lakes Fishery Commission on the innovative FishPass project located at the mouth of the Boardman River.

FishPass is a first of its kind fish passage system designed to allow native fish species to move freely through the river while helping limit the spread of invasive species. The project represents a major step forward in fisheries management and restoration across the Great Lakes region.

The event will take place at Right Brain Brewery in Traverse City, where we will have a reserved space for the evening. Beer and other beverages will be available for purchase through the brewery.

This Pint Night is open to anyone interested in conservation, fisheries, hunting, angling, or public lands and waters.

Michigan Backcountry Hunters & Anglers merchandise will be available for purchase, and we will also be available to talk about membership and upcoming events.

This is a relaxed, social event and a great opportunity to spend a Saturday night learning about the future of native fish in northern Michigan while connecting with fellow conservationists.
