Are you looking for a volunteer project that will directly impact wildlife? Join BHA in a fence removal event March 21st. This is the first stewardship event planned for the Treasure Valley in 2026!

We are looking to remove around a half mile of fence and clean up piles of old fencing materials. The project will take place on BLM land southeast of Boise, within the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area. Removing outdated fencing and old materials helps migrating animals by reducing the chance of entanglement. The project area is around 1 hour drive from Boise and Mountain Home.
An email will be sent out to volunteers prior to the event with last-minute details. Work may take a full day, plan to meet around 9am and work until 4pm.
What BHA Provides: Lunch, gloves, and tools.
What you need: Sunglasses / eye protection, leather gloves, clothes you don’t mind getting holes in from the barbed wire. Ancle high boots are also suggested.
Location: Plan to meet at 9am at either of the locations below. The group will then caravan to the work site.
