Storytellers
Brad Brooks, CEO of Argali

Brad Brooks is the CEO and Founder of Argali, a lightweight hunting gear and equipment brand. Brad is a lifelong hunter, outdoorsman and conservationist and prefers hunting mule deer, the superior deer species, over anything else. In addition to hunting, Brad is an avid rock climber, mountain biker and trail runner.

Jonathon Klein, Editor and Chief at RideApart

Jonathon Klein is a Utah BHA member and the Editor-in-Chief at RideApart, a powersports website that covers motorcycles, UTVs, ATVs, snowmobiles, jet-skis, and all the adventures those machines get up to. And you'd better believe that includes hunting and fishing, as well as covering public land issues. He's a late on-set hunter, having only picked up archery hunting in the last three years, but he's been a life-long angler and outdoorsman. His archery pursuits, however, have become an obsession, having already built a bowshop in his office where the tiniest details are sweat, and where you can find him when he's not wrangling his three young children.

Adam Foss, Co-Founder of Foss Media

Adam Foss is a photographer, filmmaker, and mountain hunter based in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, whose work is built around one simple belief: the best stories come from people who actively participate in the landscapes they love.
His work takes him deep into remote public lands across northern British Columbia, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories — places where bush planes, heavy packs, and big miles are simply part of the journey. From Stone’s sheep, mountain goat, and caribou hunts to documentary short films about wildlife conservation and compelling characters, Adam’s projects unfold in wild places where stewardship isn’t theoretical — it’s lived and breathed.
Often found with a grin on his face and a deep appreciation for the life he gets to live, Adam focuses on the moments between the glamour shots: cold hands, wild weather, and the humbling challenge of mountain hunting. His work has been featured by brands like Sitka Gear, YETI, Mathews Archery, and Leica Sport Optics, as well as the conservation organizations he’s worked alongside for more than 15 years — but his real audience is anyone who believes in the power of wild places and the purity of the pursuit.

Jess Johnson, Artemis Co-Founder and Government Affairs Director of WY Wildlife Federation

Jess Johnson has spent the last 10 years as the Government Affairs Director for the Wyoming Wildlife Federation and has helped pass policy within the state benefiting migration corridors, public land access, hunting opportunity, and conservation funding. She is a co-founder of Artemis sportswomen, a National Wildlife Federation program aimed at bringing women into hunting and conservation leadership and building out the hunting industry. She advocates on behalf of wildlife and wild places through both state and national policy, using local advocacy and education work to connect hunters to the decisions being made about conservation and wildlife.
Jess grew up the daughter of ranch managers and was lucky enough to live on ranches in some of the most incredible landscapes this country has to offer in Montana, Northern California and Wyoming. She now resides in Lander Wyoming on a small homestead with her 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses, a garden that continually gets bigger than she has time for, and a varying number of chickens. She has a deep appreciation for wildlife and wildlands and is driven by the notion of reciprocity to our natural world. Since moving back to Wyoming 15 years ago she has spent most of her free time exploring public lands as an avid archer, and obsessed sage brush mule deer hunter.

Deeply inspired by adventure and the outdoors, she brings heart to every dish, honoring the harvest while crafting food that draws people together. She has a genuine love for people and a deep belief that some of the most meaningful connections are made around a shared table. Caitlin Curry and Matt Wohlwend

Caitlin and Matt are passionate Western hunters and public lands enthusiasts. They have been fortunate to chase big game and upland birds across the Western United States and Alaska, and have crafted a lifestyle around hunting and wild game cooking. Public lands are the foundation of everything they enjoy most; from trail ultra marathons to mountain biking to backpacking and everything in between. Both Caitlin and Matt were drawn to get more involved with public lands policy and conservation and have served a number of years on the Backcountry Hunters and Anglers Utah Chapter Board. They are thrilled to share a wild game dish from a very special recent once-in-a-lifetime hunt on Kodiak Island in Alaska.
