Never fly-fished but want to learn? This course is for you. Our experienced volunteer instructors will help you learn the basics no matter how little fishing or outdoor experience you have. We provide everything for the days activities.This year, we will have three events:April 14- Introduction to Fly Fishing Day – Eastern PAApril 21 - Introduction to Fly Fishing Day – Western PATBD- Fly Fishing Campout Weekend – Northcentral PA The Eastern PA event will be held at Evansburg State Park, Sunday, April 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.Evansburg S.P. is located about a 45 minute drive northwest of Philadelphia near Collegeville, Montgomery County. RSVP below for the Eastern PA event only The other events in the series utilize different sign-up pages. Topics include: Basics & concepts of fly fishingFly fishing gearCasting instruction (on lawn)Fly tying demonstrationPublic water access and how to find places to fishWhat is Provided: BHA will provide loaner gear and materials for the day, but participants are welcome to bring their own fly rod setup if they like.Lunch will be provided.Who Should Attend:This is a free entry-level instructional course designed for those with little or no experience age 12 and over.Youth 18 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adultBring friends and family – limit 4 persons per RSVPNotes:Meeting place and additional instructions will be emailed to registered participants about a week before the event.Register early, spots are limited! Questions?
