Join NM BHA leaders and members for a night of fun and comradery ahead of elk season.
Our guest speaker will be NMDGF Elk Biologist Travis Zafarano who will cover elk habitat and biology.
In addition, with the goal of improving public access to elk tags, NM BHA will randomly select one active BHA member at this event to receive a cow elk tag in GMU 34 for this fall. The tag was generously donated by the family of late game commissioner David Soules to honor his conservation legacy and desire to see EPLUS reformed to be more equitable and transparent. The winner may gift this valuable tag to a beginner youth resident hunter who has either never hunted or never harvested a big game animal. If the winner doesn’t know an eligible candidate they can select one from the additional nominations we gather.
We are thrilled to put a free, highly coveted elk tag in the hands of a budding New Mexico hunter.
