AFI Seeking Board Members

AFI has Open Board Positions and we need you to apply!

BHA’s Armed Forces Initiative is currently looking to fill open Board positions! All applicants must be a current member in good standing with BHA, a current or former member of the United States military (including active duty, reservists, national Guard and/or a member of a Gold Star family), willing to serve a three-year term, and attend monthly Board meetings when able. Questions about the Board and open positions can be directed to [email protected].

Are you at that point in your outdoor journey where you wish to be more involved in an impactful way? One of the best ways to make a difference in conservation and get involved with AFI is to become a board member. As a board member, you will be at the forefront of AFI efforts. From events to policy and advocacy to stewardship, you will be making a positive impact for fish wildlife and habitat from the military member’s perspective.

You don’t need to be a wildlife biologist or a public lands manager to be on our Board. We are interested in maintaining diverse skillsets, broad perspectives and varied experience. Whether you are interested in event planning, fundraising, policy, or social media, we likely have a position for you. Under the mentorship of current board members, you can use the skills that you already have to move the needle in support of public lands, waters, and wildlife in our state by becoming an Armed Forces Initiative Board Member.

About Trevor Hubbs

I grew up running hounds on coyotes and raccoons, spent a fair amount of time public land waterfowl hunting, and have hunted upland birds behind my setters across the midwest.
