The Southeast AFI is hosting a squirrel hunt!
We couldnt find a picture of AFI Leader Dalton Wayne with a squirrel so this will have to do
Why You Should Want to Attend:
Learn about AFI, conservation policies, and squirrel hunt.
What is it:
A weekend of getting to know other sportspeople, learning about AFI, and chasing squirrels.
Attendees can expect:
- AFI 101
- Policy 101
- Semi-gourmet squirrel preparation...
Attendees must bring:
Waterproof Knee boots
Sleeping bag (sleeping indoors but easier to use than bringing own linens)
Hygiene kit
12-gauge shotgun or .22 rifle
Cooler for your squirrels
Coffee Cup
Wet weather pants and top (freezing rain is typical this time of year
House shoes for wear inside cabin (crocs are the best)
Cold weather gear for hunting in (low of 30 high of 50 is normal, will watch weather as event gets closer)
Sunglasses
Face paint

Who can attend:
- This event is open to all members of the military community
(Active duty, Reserves, National Guard, Veterans, and Gold Star families)
- You do not need to be a BHA member to attend
(but we sure would appreciate it if you were)
