Join the Indiana Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers for a rescheduled Yellowwood State Forest Invasive Species Workday on January 23rd. INBHA volunteers and State Forest staff will work together to control invasive shrubs at the north end of Yellowwood Lake. Invasive species are a major threat to the integrity of our natural areas. They prevent natural forest succession and diminish the quality of the habitat for game and non-game species. Come join INBHA as we put in some sweat equity to restore a piece of public land.
The work will begin around the parking lot by the boat ramp at the north end of Yellowwood Lake and continue north from there. This parking lot will be a place to park for volunteers as well as another parking lot just to the south on Yellowwood Lake Rd.
In event of inclement weather we have a backup date scheduled for January 30th
