Build your conservation & stewardship resume by getting certified to operate a chainsaw on state-owned land!
Wisconsin BHA will be teaming up with the Wisconsin DNR to offer a chainsaw certification training, teaching you how to properly & safely operate chainsaws while felling trees. This certification is REQUIRED to operate chainsaws on any state-owned property.
Start time is 8:00 AM sharp. 4 hours of classroom material, followed by 4 hours of hands-on chainsaw instruction.
This event is FREE TO ATTEND. Bring along some eye & ear protection, a sturdy pair of gloves, and get ready to run some saws! All chainsaws & additional safety equipment will be provided by the DNR.
Attendees should bring:
- Eye and Ear Protection
- A sturdy pair of gloves
- Your own lunch
