The Washington Armed Forces Initiative will host our second annual “Garbage and Grouse Round-up” in the Capitol State State Forest's Triangle Pit. We welcome everyone to help us clean up one of our Western Washington public shooting areas.
In conjunction with Trash-No Land and the Washington Department of Natural Resources, the morning will be filled with a boots-on-the-ground clean-up of several shooting sites located on public land focused primarily on Triangle Pit. Please bring tools and gloves as we remove old targets, shells, and trash. Lunch will be provided along with some giveaways for our participants.
In the afternoon will AFI members that participated in the clean-up, stroll along the gated roads of Capitol State Forrest in search of Washington’s various grouse species, affectionately known as “Wood Chicken”. The hunting portion will be limited to Military Members who must participate in the morning clean-up.
