event_description: Washingtons AFI, in association with the Tacoma Sportsmans Club is hosting a 3D Archery Shoot Fund Raiser!  Why You Should Want to Attend: The Armed Forces Initiative is the BHA program focused on creating conservationists within the military community. What better way to support conservation and veterans than showing off your skills as an archer?What is it:Washington’s Armed Forces Initiative has teamed up with Tacoma Sportsmen’s Club to bring you a weekend of arrow flinging, family-friendly fun.  Courses will consist of 40 Targets on Saturday and 30 Targets on Sunday.  Additionally, there will be two novelty courses on Saturday. These will include the “Long Shot” and the “Running Elk”. Scoring will be in a 10, 8, 5, 0 format with 10X’s being used as a tiebreaker.  Rangefinders will be allowed for any participants who choose to use them.  Entry fees will be $40.00 for two days, and $25.00 for one day.  Tacoma Sportsman’s Club will offer a $2.00 discount for any member of Back Country Hunters & Anglers, and a $5.00 discount for any Active Duty, Retired, Reserve, or Disabled Veteran, with proof of eligibility (ID / DD214).  Shooters can purchase mulligans for the shoot for $1.00 a piece for a maximum of 2 mulligans used on each day of the shoot.  The shooting divisions will be Men’s and Women’s Compound, and Traditional.  Age groups will be Cub (0-5 years old), Youth (6-12 years old), Young Adult (13-17 years old), Adult (18-55 years old), and Seniors (56-101 years old).
