PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR, May 11th from 6-8 PM, for a presentation and discussion on the state’s Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) Surveillance, Monitoring, and Response Plan and proposed actions for 2022. The presentation will be given by ODFW veterinarian, Colin Gillin, and Wildlife Division staff and will cover basic and technical background information about the CWD prion, along with what we might expect once it is detected in Oregon. We’ll also discuss some of the more pertinent prevention, surveillance, and management measures in ODFW’s CWD plan. We’ll spend about an hour on the presentation and then open the floor to participants to ask questions or present ideas to veterinary and Wildlife Division staff.
