University of Idaho BHA club members volunteer to improve trails at Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge

To celebrate National Public Lands Day and promote good stewardship of our nation's public lands, volunteers from the Backcountry Hunters & Anglers club at the University of Idaho spent Saturday, September 22nd hard at work with hand tools.  The volunteers assisted staff from the Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge with improving the walking trails at the popular refuge.  After digging and prepping the trails, the team placed fresh wood chips on the trails.

The U of I club is planning another project at Turnbull NWR in October.  For questions about any BHA college clubs, please email Sawyer Connelly at [email protected]
