Summer 2019 Southeast Chapter News

The Southeast chapter recently held a public land cleanup initiative during spring turkey season. Our Gobblers and Garbage contest combined our love for turkey hunting with our passion for public lands. Southeast chapter members competed by removing plastic grocery bags full of garbage from their favorite hunting. We had participants from every state in the chapter, and we collectively netted over 300 pounds of trash removed from the woods!

To further the growth of the chapter, we are proud to announce some new chapter corporate partnerships. We have recently partnered with Bear Hunting Magazine and AG Russell Knives, both of Arkansas. This will allow us to spread awareness for our organization through some previously untapped avenues. We are looking forward to these partnerships, and many more like them in the future.

We have continued promoting and hosting events across our region. Arkansas has been on fire lately, hosting pint nights and seminars across the state. We have had several other successful events in Florida as well. We also hosted a booth at the Louisiana Sportsman Show in the Baton Rouge area. We hosted a booth at the World Deer Expo in Birmingham this July. We have some more exciting events in the planning stages for Arkansas, Florida, and Mississippi. Be sure to keep an eye out on the BHA events page to get more details, and please link up with one of our events if you are in the area.
