Join the PA Chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers as we clean up an abandoned mine site in SGL 224 adjacent to Pinchot State Forest which has become a dumping ground for 300+ tires.
In partnership with the PA Game commission and the Eastern PA Coalition for Abandoned Mine Reclamation (EPCAMR), we will use equipment to remove and permanently dispose of the tires.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring work gloves and sturdy boots.
Meetup will be at 9AM and we expect to go until 3PM. Lunch will be provided.
Additional details including a GPS location of the parking area will be sent to all registered attendees 1 week prior to the event.
