Join your California Chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers for a day of knowledge sharing, seminars and taking on the backcountry of the San Gabriel National Monument on foot (with or without a pack). Bring your gear if you have it, come ready to learn and chime in with your own backcountry experience. See the schedule of events for details and be on the lookout for any updates. Finally, be sure to pack plenty of water and all the typically necessities for a day hike, regardless of participation level.
MEET UP LOCATION: The parking lot is located up Highway 39 above Azusa. Continue up beyond both Morris and San Gabriel Reservoir. Once you make it past, you'll see a turn off to your right going across a large bridge - continue straight (don't cross the bridge). Continue until you see a small parking lot to your left, continue on 39 across the bridge less than a quarter or a mile and we'll be at the much large parking area to your left. On Google Maps, search "West Fork Fishing Access" and the parking lot where we'll be meeting is labeled just beyond this point of interest.
