Travis county public Lands Pack Out on Balcones Canyonlands NWR taking place on Public Lands Day!
You'll want to bring work gloves, masks sanitizer, water, snacks, sunscreen and some contractor bags although we will have some bags to hand out.
While we note the admin building in the "where" location we'd like to stress that this event will be "loosely organized" in hopes of adhering to social distancing guidelines. There will be no formal meetup or orientation. The goal is to get people out, distanced and safe to help clean up one of the Austin area's beautiful public lands.
As First Lite is donating $5 for every bag of trash (combined max. donation of $10,000) we need to document how much trash we haul out! You are welcome to drop your trash to the BHA group or document and submit your own pack-out photo via the link below. First Lite also will be giving away 20 gift cards valued at $100 each to the top 20 public land trash packers. Additionally, 10 gift cards will be given away throughout the month to those who share a photo of the Public Land Pack Out on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #publiclandpackout and #publiclandowner.
