Get your miles in for the Hike to Hunt Challenge and pitch in on your public lands at the same time!
Join us on July 13, 8am at the Barker Valley trailhead on Palomar Mountain (driving directions below). We’ll be cleaning up along this approximately 6.5 mile hike to the valley floor and back. Bring your boots, a pack and plenty of water! Trash bags and gloves will be provided and a 4-wheel drive vehicle is strongly recommended!
Directions: Turn west from Highway 79 at a point 6.5 miles northwest of Warner Springs (mile 41.9 according to the roadside mileage markers). Continue up the mostly unpaved Palomar Divide Road for 7.8 miles to the Barker Valley Spur trailhead on the left (west) side.
