For the 4th Annual PA Wilds Trail Challenge, The PA Chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers has a 30.5 mile (5648ft elevation gain), 2 night backpacking trip planned for the weekend of June 24 to 26. The West Rim trail is famous for its canyon vistas. This is a free trip for Backcountry Hunters and Anglers Members.
We’ll hit the trail at 4pm on Friday 6/24 and spend the weekend hiking northbound from the Rattlesnake Rock Parking area along the West Rim trail through the gorgeous Pine Creek Gorge / PA Grand Canyon finishing at Ansonia.
Participants need to bring all necessary gear and food for the weekend. Participants should be of sound physical condition and have experience backpacking. Experienced youths (14 years old minimum) can join with a responsible adult.
