Whitetail deer are ubiquitous in the Keystone State and are the number one game animal hunters seek in Penn’s Woods. But that doesn’t mean they are easy to find or kill, especially for new hunters. If understanding whitetail basics is holding you back from hunting them, join the Pennsylvania Chapter of BHA at one of our Deer Scouting events this summer.
These small-group events will be held in the field. BHA members and leaders will share their methods for assessing a piece of land for hunting whitetails.
The hosts for this event, which will be held on public land near Tannersville, PA, will be Chapter Chair Nate Fronk and Treasurer Rick McClellan.

These events are for new and novice whitetail hunters only and are limited to 10 participants per event.

Attendees should dress to be afield for two to three hours in off-trail terrain. Long pants, boots and water recommended.
Participants are invited to meet up at Barley Creek Brewing Company in Tannersville afterwards for a beer and a bite.
