Outdoors For All
Backcountry Hunters & Anglers work for the future of hunting and angling on wild, healthy lands and waters. The education of our youth and the opportunity for all to experience the outdoors are at the core of BHA. The Aidan Long / Outdoors For All Scholarship is open to anyone ages 21 and under, to mitigate the expense of outdoor recreation and conservation education, and to expand experiences and opportunities for people with disabilities via the purchase or temporary acquisition of adaptive recreation equipment. Please consider making a donation to the Aidan Long/Outdoors for All scholarship fund to help increase equal-opportunity access to the outdoors for all.
Aidan Nichols Long, 2004-2021, loved life and nature every day. Growing up in Montana his best times included camping, canoeing, and fishing with his mom and dad, Karen Nichols and Ben Long. Despite catastrophic epilepsy, Aidan remained a joyful explorer of the natural world. Aidan’s parents are grateful to Backcountry Hunters & Anglers for creating a fund to help, even in a small way, level the playing field so more young people can enjoy the benefits of time spent outdoors.
To honor Aidan’s love of the outdoors we are happy to empower future conservation leaders to expand their experiences in the outdoors!
