Learn how to fly-fish, and prepare your catch with Robert Land at Green Leaf State Park
A Dual Skills Camp is a learn-to event. Attendees will be mentored through a fishing experience from the planning phase through the post-harvest meal prep. BHA mentors will host attendees in the field talking through the ins and outs of fly fishing. After the day on the water, a regional expert will walk participants through how hunting and fishing affect the conservation in OK. What is the North American model of conservation, and how participants can use their voices as members of the military community to support BHA's conservation mission.
Attendees can expect to learn:
- How to I.D. water features and structure
- Strategies for fishing types of water
- Open water strategies
- Proper rod, reel, and line choices
- Different types of flies, and how to use them
- How to clean and prepare fish for the table
- Tenets of the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation
- How becoming a conservationist is a natural fit for the military community

Thursday, March 14th starting at 5pm through the weekend, ending Sunday, March 17th at noon

Who can attend:
-Event is currently full-
- This event is open to all members of the military community
(Active duty, Reserves, National Guard, Veterans, and Gold Star families)
- You do not need to be a BHA member to attend
(but we sure would appreciate it if you were)
