PA BHA Chapter Completes Two Incredible BUSTIN’ CLAYS WITH BHA Events In 2026
PA Chapter Members on either side of the Commonwealth were afforded an opportunity for what has become one of the most anticipated dates on the PA BHA calendar. The “Bustin’ Clays with BHA” events bring together teams and individual shooters alike to one of two phenomenal sporting clay facilities in the Keystone State.
This April chapter members and members of their board lined up on the chilly stations on an early spring day at the Carlisle Fish and Game Association in Carlisle, PA.
The event was packed with excited shooters who couldn’t wait to get out on the course. The chapter saw its largest sale of branded merchandise and raffle tickets ever at this event. All interested shooters after hitting the course were treated to a hamburger and hot dog lunch cooked by their own chapter board.
“This even keeps getting better and the chapter members in the east look forward to it more and more every year,” said Adam Eckley PA Chapter Chairman.
This summer in the August heat the western portion of the state was not to be outdone and had a record number of shooters make their way to Buffer Creek Sporting Clays in Somerset, PA for some of their own challenging fun on the clays course.

Chapter board member Steve Bousum was part of the planning for the Buffer Creek event.
“The summer clays event has continued to be a success,” Bousum said.
“In 2025, which was our first year, we registered 33 shooters and had only a couple station sponsors. In 2026, we registered 48 shooters, about a 50% increase year over year, had four station sponsors and one corporate sponsor. Even better, there were three youth shooters and two adults new to shooting, and they all had a good time with BHA,” said Steve Bousum.
Plans are penciled in to return to the same locations in Carlisle and Somerset for next year so if you live in those areas keep an eye on upcoming information about when you and your team can register, or if you have a business, please think about sponsoring a station.
There has already been rumors from several chapter members who are making plans to criss cross the state and shoot at both events next year.
See you there!
