Several gravel pits used as shooting ranges on the Green Mountain National Forest need a little TLC to help recover from some use and abuse.
BHA volunteers will meet at the Ripton Community House at 9 a.m. for a briefing and then we’ll carpool to multiple gravel pits for a Public Land Pack Out. Tools and equipment will be provided. Steel toe boots and work gloves are highly recommended. There will be snacks, water and light sandwich fare for a working lunch available. This project will take place rain or shine, so come prepared.
A social hour (or two) will follow around 430 p.m. in nearby Salisbury, VT at Paddlers Pub for those who helped and for those who couldn’t make it during the day.
Spread the word and bring a friend who might like to join BHA: new and renewing members who sign up at the event will get a 1:100 chance to win a 75-quart Yeti Tundra cooler!
Can't join us at the cleanup, but want to contribute to the public lands effort? Join BHA or make a Donation!
