The CA Chapter of BHA is amped to announce the first 3D Archery competition & campout of the year!
Join us on May 23rd near lake Millerton for a 28 target 3D shoot & fundraiser.
BHA members and participants will be camping out at Lake Millerton State Recreation Area over the weekend, enjoying some fishing and a wild game potluck on Saturday and a full 28 target 3D archery competition nearby on Sunday. There will be a raffle, novelty shots and a barbecue to fundraise for the chapter.
The shoot will be a walk on start as early as 8 am with compound and traditional stakes set up at each target. The course is a little over a mile with about 300 feet of elevation gain. Only field points may be shot, and binoculars/range finders will be allowed.
Show up a day early and enjoy some fishing and a wild game potluck with BHA members at lake Millerton on Saturday. If you plan to camp be sure to reserve your spot at Millerton Lake SRA ahead of time.
3D archery competitions are a great way to get ready for the hunting season and to put your skills and equipment to the test. If you have never shot a 3D competition this is a great venue with multiple shooting stakes to choose from and friendly archers to help with scoring and technique.
