Come out and join the Michigan BHA Chapter as we have been invited by the Anglers of the Au Sable to assist with some great habitat work on National Public Lands Day! On Saturday September 23rd beginning at 10am, volunteers will be planting cedar trees (cedars for the Au Sable) and form protective baskets around these saplings to assist with their establishment along the Au Sable National Scenic River. This event is also in collaboration with the Huron-Manistee National Forests representatives.
Folks will meet at the Comins Flats Boat Launch 6 miles east of Mio by 10am! Please bring work gloves and sturdy boots. Lunch will be provided to volunteers so it's very important to RSVP below so we can submit volunteer numbers to an accurate head count.
This is going to be a fantastic day of habitat work and fellowship. We hope to see many of you there to celebrate our public lands!
