Nevada Chapter gets involved in Desert National Wildlife Refuge

Military Land Expansion into a National Refuge in Southern Nevada Every American citizen should respect and value the role that our military personnel and training facilities play in providing security and defense capabilities for our country. The Nevada Chapter is invested in upholding the functionality of the Nevada Test and Training Range. As sportsman and women invested in Nevada’s wildlife, however, we are also dedicated to helping conserve healthy habitat for fish and ...

Idaho BHA designs and produces signs to help deter illegal motorized use

Author: Idaho BHA
Idaho BHA volunteers worked with the US Forest Service and a local business partner to help design signs to remind motorized users to ride legally.  BHA had the design printed on heavy-duty metal signs with a reflective coating that will make them visible at night.  The signs have 6 pre-drilled holes to make installation easy on a variety of different surfaces.   This upcoming summer, Idaho BHA volunteers will be working with public land management agencies around the state to place these ...

Idaho BHA donates $1000 to new Hunters Education facility at Black's Creek Shooting Range

Author: Idaho BHA

LETTER: Help reopen Fort Keogh fishing access with Friday fundraiser

Author: Matt Rinella
By Matt Rinella - March 3, 2019 - Originally published in the Billings Gazette Several years ago, an important Yellowstone River access site on Fort Keogh was closed due to vandalism. Bad Public Lands Legislation Requires Attention in Idaho

Author: Idaho BHA
March 1, 2019 On a national level, this week gave conservationists a reason to celebrate.  Senate Bill 47, The Public Lands Package, easily passed the House with a 363-62 vote after having sailed through the Senate with a 92-8 vote.  This rare showing of bipartisan support is a testament to the value Americans place on our public lands. However, here in Idaho, our legislature seems to be tone deaf to the public's appreciation of public lands.  This week we saw the legislature advance three ...
