Author: Montana BHA
A lawsuit alleging Fish, Wildlife and Parks is failing to manage elk seeks “a radical departure” from the law and from an earlier court decision about the status of wildlife in Montana, according to a group of organizations wanting to intervene in the case. “More than 80 years ago, the Montana Supreme Court held that wildlife in Montana is a public resource, ownership over which has no legal relationship to the ownership of the land,” argue the group of sportspeople in a court brief dated ...

BHA Podcast & Blast, Ep. 133: BLM Director Tracy Stone-Manning

Author: Thomas Plank
For Americans who live or venture west of the Mississippi River or north to Alaska, no public lands are more important, more abundant or more accessible than those managed by the Bureau of Land Management. We are talking about 247.3 million acres of public land (70 million of them in Alaska). Just Keep On Flyin'

“Just keep on flyin’ over!”  We all began laughing out loud and repeating the phrase over and over.
