Our stewardship events are designed to support the local public lands we all enjoy and recreate on. What is it:Come join the Maine AFI for a cleanup of Maine Woodland Owners properties in New Gloucester, Maine. This be taking place along with numerous cleanups around Maine as part of IFAWs Landowner Appreciation Day.Maine Woodland Owners is the largest single private landowner in New Gloucester. These properties are all open to the public for hunting and fishing. Dumping, vandalism and other irresponsible and illegal activity threatens to close access to these properties. The goal of this event is to maintain the longstanding Maine tradition which allows public access to private lands.
