On a Kansas River sandbar near the Futamura plant

Help Friends of the KAW, Kansas BHA and many other partners clear out trash and tires from a Kansas River sandbar adjacent to the riverbank near the Futamura property. This is a big event with a lot to clean up, so the Evergy Green Team and Backcountry Hunters and Anglers are bringing in their equipment to help haul it out. We need your help to collect the trash and/or dig the tires out of the sand.
Lunch will be provided by the Topeka Rotary Club!
Please note that this event is not for young children or for adults who are not physically fit. Volunteers must be able to walk long distances and dig or lift heavy tires or trash. Children age 14 and up are welcome with a parent or guardian.
