Join Indiana BHA for our first event of the year that is dedicated specifically to women!
We are hosting a virtual Q&A event with some great guest speakers. We realize that there can be a lot of barriers that women may face when wanting to enter the hunting and fishing spaces. We also know that sometimes you want to learn about hunting or fishing and don’t want to ask your husband, boyfriend, dad, brother, guy at the gun shop, etc.. you want to ask other lady and get her perspective! BHA’s Women in the Woods initiative is aimed at creating a community of women who hunt and fish and fostering an atmosphere in which women can share knowledge, expertise, and experiences.
This event is going to be hosted by women, for women and our speakers will be women who have years of experience with hunting, fishing, firearms and archery. This will be a great time to connect with other women who have common interests in the outdoors. It will be a forum for discussion about everything from where to find good gear, how to get started if you’ve not hunted or fished before, balancing time outdoors with family commitments (and work and the rest of life, eek!), feeling confident in the woods alone, and even ways to navigate ignorant questions from men in the hunting/fishing space – because let’s face it, it happens!
