The Indiana BHA Chapter will host our third annual Turkey Talk Virtual event on February 29th, 2024 from 7-9pm eastern.
We will be joined by Tom "Doc" Weddle, a legendary turkey hunter and hunting guide from Bloomington, Indiana. One of the greatest accomplishments a turkey hunter can achieve is the U.S. Slam, which requires harvesting a turkey in all 49 states (Alaska has no wild turkey.) Doc has completed an unheard of 4 U.S. "Super Slams" and is currently working on his 5th!
For the last four decades, Doc has loaded up his van and hit the road to travel across the US for 3 months straight hunting turkey on public lands. He is the author of 4 books on turkey hunting that share colorful stories of his experiences chasing those wily gobblers. Doc will be sharing his stories and experiences hunting turkey on public lands, as well as providing tips and advice for both beginners and seasoned hunters. There will be time reserved for discussion and a Q&A.
