Hike to Hunt 2021: The Final Results

Another Hike to Hunt has come and gone and another hunting season is upon us! Together, we raised nearly $40,000 and gave away over $7,000 in prizes from our partners at Big Agnes, goHUNT, NRS, Savage, Benchmade and Danner.

A huge thank you to all who took part in the challenge this summer as we hiked, biked, ran and floated for conservation. It was great to include the many recreational opportunities we are privileged to be able to take part in as public land owners in North America.

We'd like to highlight some of the top fundraisers for their efforts in raising money for public lands and waters:

  • James Hasley -  $1,750
  • Grant Meyer - $1,671
  • Leslie Kaminski - $1,525
  • Todd Reichert - $1,295
  • Sam Nasset - $1,055
  • Eli & Leo - $1,015

And of course we are excited to announce the winners of each virtual race prize package. The winners were randomly drawn from all who registered for each race. If you registered, you entered!

The winner of the Hike to Hunt prize package is Cameron Lenzini. Cameron won a $300 Danner gift card, a Savage 110 Lightweight Storm in 6.5 Creedmoor and a Benchmade Steep Country hunting knife.

John Martinez won the Bike to Hunt prize package, which includes a Big Agnes Copper Spur HV Ultralight 2 tent, a Big Agnes Anvil Horn 30-degree bag, a Big Agnes Insulated Q-core Deluxe Pad and a Big Agnes Skyline Ultralight stool.

Help us congratulate Pete Hildreth who won the All In Race prize package of Danner $300 gift card, a Savage .22 LR, an NRS master strap bucket, Benchmade Steep Country hunting knife and a $100 goHUNT gift certificate.

And lastly, with the best odds of the Hike to Hunt Challenge, was the Float to Hunt race. James Hasley won a NRS Star Pike inflatable fishing boat.

We hope you had a blast this year getting out and getting fit for this hunting season. But more importantly, we at Backcountry Hunters & Anglers hope you are better prepared mentally, physically and emotionally for these coming months chasing game all over the United States and Canada. Thank you for your fun-filled conservation work!
