Utah Leadership Opportunities

Volunteer With BHA

Ready to take the next step in your conservation journey as a hunter or angler? Apply to join the Utah Backcountry Hunters & Anglers (BHA) Chapter Board. We are currently filling the following positions:

  • Chapter Co-Chair Elect
  • Secretary
  • Communications Coordinator
  • Conservation Coordinator
  • R3 Coordinator

As a Board member, you will help design and carry out our strategy to expand and protect hunting and fishing access for sportsmen and women across Utah, and to keep wildlife management grounded in the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. To apply, you must be a current BHA member, reside in Utah, and be willing to serve a three-year term.

Below you will find a description, list of responsibilities, and recommended skills for each position. These are a sketch of the candidate we have in mind, not a checklist — please apply even if your experience doesn’t line up perfectly. What matters most is a passion for our public lands, waters, and wildlife, and a willingness to learn and pitch in where needed. Note that all Board roles are unpaid volunteer positions, so you will need to balance them alongside your work and personal life. Our current Board members will mentor you and make sure you are set up to succeed.

If you are interested in applying for any of these positions, please click here to fill out your application. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis.
