Join us for an introduction to Fly Fishing! Always wondered what it was like? We’ll cover the basics of gear prep, basic knots, how to cast, bugs and entomology (nymphing/dry flies), and fishing conservation practices. This event is geared towards women but all are welcome.
Participants should park and meet at the barn at 9:00 AM. Lunch is provided at noon, serving pizza from Carbondale’s own White House Pizza. Will include some vegan offerings. All fishing gear is provided by our sponsors. Dress for Colorado summer… rain gear advised. No waders or special personal equipment necessary. Fishing can all be done from stream side.
IMPORTANT! Participants MUST have a valid Colorado fishing license to actually fish in the ponds and creeks.
