Fall 2019 Tennessee Chapter News

The Tennessee Chapter kicked off its inauguration with a pint night tour across the state in July. Land Tawney came down to get everyone pumped about the new chapter.

Knoxville was first up with around 40 attendees and was sponsored by 3 Rivers Anglers.

Chattanooga was next with 22 attendees with support from Yewchati, Chattanooga Beard Company, Huff Fly Fishing and Hatch Outfitters.

We then spent an evening on the banks of the Mississippi River in Memphis. We had around 20 folks join us and were treated with giveaways from Hunt to Eat, Maven and OnX.

Nashville was our last stop and our biggest event of the week. In addition to Land, also joining in on the festivities that night were Ron Boehme of the Hunting Dog Podcast and Kevin Murphy, a.k.a “The World’s Greatest Small Game Hunter.”

Patagonia was gracious enough to host our crowd of 146 public land owners. Taylor McCall provided some fantastic music for the evening. Backridge Ammunition donated several boxes of non-toxic shells to the waterfowl and upland bird hunters in attendance. And ,Gunner Kennels helped us giveaway an intermediate kennel.

Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our kickoff tour.  But our work is only beginning as we continue the battle for public lands and conservation in the Volunteer State.
