Join Backcountry Hunters & Anglers' Armed Forces Initiative (AFI) this September for a hands-on Atlantic Striped Bass Fishing Clinic, timed with the fall migration of one of the East Coast’s most iconic game fish. This unique event brings together veterans, active duty service members, and BHA members for a day on the water and in the classroom, blending action with education. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a beginner, this clinic offers a chance to experience world class fishing while learning about the rich history, critical conservation efforts, and management challenges facing the Atlantic striped bass population.

What to Expect:

• On-the-Water Instruction: Guided fishing during peak fall migration, when stripers are actively feeding and moving south along the Atlantic coast.

• Species & Gear Overview: Learn tackle setups, bait strategies, and the behaviors of migrating stripers.

• Conservation & Management Class: A classroom-style session exploring the ecological role of striped bass, population declines, regulatory history, and what we can do as stewards of this species.

• Community & Camaraderie: Meet fellow AFI participants and outdoorsmen committed to public land and water access, ethical hunting and angling, and science-based conservation.

Who Should Attend:
This clinic is open to current and former members of the Armed Forces, as well as BHA members interested in becoming more involved in AFI programming and fisheries conservation.
