TN BHA CHAPTER BUTCHERING CLINIC

Are you new to butchering your own wild game? Have you been butchering for a few years, but want to learn a few new tricks? This event provides everyone with an opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals and folks in the attendance on how to properly, safely, and effectively break down your wild game to fill the freezer! 

We will take a field dressed animal and break it down into whole muscle groups, then into different cuts. We will go over proper meat care from the field to the freezer, butchering equipment options, different cuts of meat, how to butcher for non-gamey tasting meat, and packaging. Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions, take videos, and to participate in the process.

There will not be cell phone reception at the event. In case of emergency, across the road has phone service.

Signs will be out for the location of the event. Some parking will be available at the garage, but once that is full, we will park at the base of the driveway along the side of the road and in the grass. Anyone who needs assistance please email me in advance, and we can shuttle them up in the Polaris Ranger.

Drinks will be provided in coolers, butchering equipment, and a print out of a deer butchering diagram for each person. I will also have a box of disposable rubber gloves for anyone who would like to wear them.

Please bring a chair and some lunch.  No restroom on site but don't worry, there's plenty of trees around the facility! 

Tickets are only $10 and we only have 15 spaces, so don't hesitate!
