The Montana Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is partnering with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks for a fence pull/maintenance project on the Dome Mountain WMA in Paradise Valley.
The Dome Mountain WMA is critical winter range for a significant portion of the Northern Yellowstone Elk Herd. FWP recently purchased a private inholding and added it to the WMA using Habitat Montana dollars (funded by license sales in Montana).
With plenty of fence to pull and more to fix, the elk and our public lands could use our help.
Please email Montana BHA member Clark Dodd if you're interested in helping out.
We'll meet at 9AM on Saturday, July 20th, at the corner of Dailey Lake Rd and Red Mountain Rd. Please bring a lunch, plenty of water, work gloves, bear spray and fencing pliers if you have 'em. Folks are welcome to camp the evening on the hill overlooking Paradise Valley. Clark will have more information on that for you as well.
