Backcountry Hunters and Anglers are doing a Maintenance Day at Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area from 9-12 on April 13th, removing brush on the West Branch dam helping to maintain the dam's structural integrity. The dam creates an 80-acre pond that is well known for its waterfowl hunting and fishing. Bring loppers, handsaws, and brush saws if you have them, if you don’t we will have extras. At the end, we will be cooking up some hamburgers to say thank you to those who helped out. We will be meeting at the parking area before the dam off of RT17 at 44.075683, -73.351341.
