MISSOULA, Mont. – CVA and Backcountry Hunters & Anglers have formed a new partnership in support of public lands, public access and public hunting opportunities, seeking ways to grow participation in North America’s hunting traditions and protect the places foundational to this unique outdoors legacy.

CVA was founded in 1971 as Connecticut Valley Arms, specializing in traditional side-lock muzzleloading rifles and build-it-yourself rifle kits. From those early beginnings, CVA developed a reputation and built its mission around providing guns and accessories that provide its customers with the best values available. The company’s mission remains the same today, but its product offering from those earlier years has expanded to include the most technically advanced modern in-line muzzleloaders on the market, ranging from the Paramount and Accura X-Treme series to affordably priced single shot rifles such as the Scout. CVA’s most recent addition, the Cascade, is a feature-rich price point bolt action rifle with unrivaled performance and accuracy.

A consistent innovator and industry leader, CVA relishes the opportunity to partner with BHA.

“Preserving our hunting heritage, protecting and improving hunter access to wild public lands, and introducing new people to hunting is important to all of us at CVA,” said Jason Sebo, CVA brand manager – VP of sales. “As public land hunters ourselves, we are extremely proud to support Backcountry Hunters & Anglers. We look forward to working with BHA and its many chapters in their efforts to conserve our wildlife and wild places for the hunters of the future.”

BHA Director of Innovative Alliances Rachel Schmidt welcomed CVA to the BHA family.

“Here at BHA a partnership means working together for the mission of our organization and to support the effort of our members,” said Schmidt. “We are proud to welcome CVA to our family as one of the industry leaders that values our heritage of hunting, public lands, water and wildlife as much as we do.”
