Citrus WMA is a great example of a multi-use public recreation area. Miles of hiking trails and quality roads make navigation easy with a map. The topography is higher and more varied than many other WMA in the area. It is also much drier. You can usually leave the hip boots at home. The mix of pine and hardwood with some areas of thick underbrush or prescribed fire means that you could easily flush a rabbit, target squirrels, or kill a couple dove all on the same hunt.
We will be meeting at the Mutual Mine Campground. After that, we can partner up or scatter. The area is large with decent roads that can take you to the other side in a hurry.
