event_description: Join BHA Chapter Leaders Craig Grother & Leslie Kaminski and Colorado Parks & Wildlife (CPW) for a weekend of fence pulling, camping, community, and delicious food at the Cimarron State Wildlife Area July 8 & 9 with an option to camp Friday night on the 7th. CPW will be opening up their cabin for volunteers to sleep in over the weekend but folks are more than welcome to camp out under the stars. After a day of pulling fence on Saturday you can take some time to relax, explore the area, or do some fishing. In the evening the BHA Colorado Chapter will provide volunteers with a delicious BBQ dinner prepared by Jimmers BBQ and ice cold beverages. This is a great time to get know fellow conservation minded folks, other BHA members in the area, and your local Chapter Leaders. Project Location: 38.34197, -107.51549What to Expect: Volunteers will remove fence staples and wire clips using bolt cutters, and roll up wire Saturday and Sunday. We will try to finish at a reasonable time so folks will have time to fish, hike, or relax at camp if youre staying for the full weekend. Even if you can’t swing the overnight stay we would love to have the help for either day. What to bring for the work day: Leather gloves, safety glasses (sunglasses are fine), and fence tools (pliers, post puller, etc) if you have them but not necessary. Plenty of water, sunscreen, bug spray, and proper clothing for working outside and removing fence (jeans, boots, long-sleeve shirt). What to bring for camp: Headlamp, plate & utensils, coffee cup, sleep kit, and comfy clothes/shoes. **Please note everyone will be responsible for their own lunches
