Learn about AFI, conservation policies, and learn Inshore Fishing on public waterways of NC.
This Dual Skills Camp is a learn-to-fish event. Attendees will be mentored through an inshore fishing experience from the preparation and gear phase through the post-harvest meal prep. BHA mentors will host attendees talking through the ins and outs of inshore fishing. After the day on the water, our Camp Lejeune liaison will discuss how fishing affects conservation in NC, what is the North American model of conservation, and how participants can use their voices as members of the military community to support BHA's conservation mission.
Attendees can expect:
Classes on:
-Inshore Fishing species and habitat
-Rod/reel and gear selection
-Casting and retrieval skills
-Fish processing
-History of Public land and waters
-The North American model of wildlife conservation

- This event is open to all members of the military community
(Active duty, Reserves, National Guard, Veterans, and Gold Star families)
