Come out and join us in clearing existing trails throughout the 4000-acre Blackhoof River WMA. If you’re not familiar, the area contains a beautiful variety of mixed forests and openings as well as sections of the scenic Blackhoof and Nemadji Rivers. We will be clearing trails of overhanging limbs and downed trees with hand and pole saws. This is a great opportunity to give back to public lands and meet fellow BHA members while enjoying some quality time outside. Please feel free to leave early if you are not able to stay all day. Even if it’s just for a couple of hours, any help is appreciated.
We will plan on meeting at 8:00am at the gravel parking lot south of County Road 6, about half a mile east of County Road 3. Depending on attendance, we may split into smaller groups to cover more ground. Be sure to bring appropriate footwear and clothing to hike around for the day, as well as water and food. Hand saws, pole saws, work gloves, and bug spray would also be helpful to bring.
